Therapy helps people navigate their lives in a busy world. It enables them to: defuse stress; face fears; feel more at ease in their bodies and minds, and; strengthen relationships at home, in school and at work. It provides a path to health that is wide enough for everyone from college students to stay at home parents and CEOs. Individuals come to therapy for a variety of reasons. Ultimately, though, most come because they want to feel calmer and happier in the wake of life’s changes.

Oftentimes people bring patterns of relating from the past into their relationships in the present. Sometimes these patterns are helpful; sometimes they are not.  In times of distress, it can be particularly difficult for individuals to make this distinction on their own.  This is when therapy can be invaluable.

Dr. DeSole works with individuals to identify and examine the patterns that may be preventing them from creating the life they want to live.  Her practice operates in a personal setting whereby individuals can talk freely in a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment.

Her approach to therapy is integrative.  In her work with patients, she draws from a variety of clinical theories including psychodynamic and cognitive behavior therapy as well as mindfulness-based practices.  Treatment is tailored to meet the unique needs and objectives of the individual.

Her style is interactive.  She believes that having another person with whom you can discuss concerns in a supportive environment can make a tremendous difference in finding effective ways to handle the challenges that are inherent to daily life.
