Eating Disorders: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention
Special Issue: Mindfulness
Gurze Books, 2011
Guest Editor: Leah DeSole, Ph.D.
Entering its nineteenth year, Eating Disorders: The Journal of Treatment and Prevention published a special issue on mindfulness and eating disorders guest edited by Dr. DeSole. This special issue featured empirical and qualitative articles concerning the application of mindfulness centered approaches to a range of eating disorders, treatment modalities (individual and group therapy), and treatment settings (inpatient and outpatient). Unifying these articles was a common definition of mindfulness: meeting the present moment with full, nonjudgmental attention to one’s thoughts, feelings behavior and body.
